Why An Onsite Presentation for the
Teddy Bear Technique® Toolkit?

The Teddy Bear Technique® Toolkit is experiential in its application. While easy to apply, it does take seeing and experiencing, to maximize the results. It is evidenced based, and the results measurable. It is designed for marriage and family therapists, school counselors, social workers, and other health care professionals.

Focus on results.
Every agency, and health care organization is different. I am passionate about this tool and want to make it results oriented for your organization. If the focus of your agency is exploring domestic violence I want to be sure you gain specific training for your needs. If your focus is on bereavement I want to show you how you can apply it in that setting. If your focus is to help assess and intervene in sexual abuse I am committed to demonstrating how you can apply it with assessments and interventions. Whatever your particular organizational focus I want to demonstrate to you, how to maximize the results of this method for you.

Tracking
The Teddy Bear Technique® Toolkit is skilled at tracking information and measuring results. That means if you apply the method at the beginning of treatment, you want to be able to measure how effective treatment was at the end. I have developed methods for tracking the results of this tool and all onsite presentations will demonstrate to you how you can apply The Teddy Bear Technique® Toolkit to track treatment results.

Experience and Expertise

• This tool was developed through personal experiences with grief and trauma, combined with 20 years experience as a licensed clinical social worker and trained family therapist, and a movement away from the field of social work, into a world of toys and consumer behavior, with a return to the social work, health care profession. Many experiences in the toy industry were brought back into the social work profession and provide depth to the wisdom of this tool.
• The Teddy Bear Technique® has been successfully applied with substance abuse populations, bereavement groups and in adoption and foster care. It has been applied with over 1000 adults, teenagers and children.
• The Teddy Bear Technique® toolkit will work with almost every mental health problem faced by treatment providers. As the innovator of the model, I, Tammy Stoner LCSW offer over 8 years experience in its application.

Intellectual Property

• The theories supporting this tool have been well researched, in the work of systems theory, family theory and play. Decades of researched theory and practice support the structure of this method.
  
• The Teddy Bear Technique® is evidenced based treatment. It is not designed to replace traditional counseling methods. It is designed as a tool. It has been trademarked, and licensed.
  
• As the originator of the model I want to insure that the MeBear Family, the teddy bears designed for the method, will be applied in the method in which they were intended. While I don’t claim to have all of the answers, I do claim to have originated an innovative and evidenced based method of generating key information fast and breakthroughs with all populations, applying a systemized model of teddy bears, named, the MeBear Family in its application.

 Services

• Training is provided in 3 hour or half day sessions for your organization.
• An evaluation of your needs will be conducted at the front end prior to our meeting so that the presentation is oriented towards your group needs.
• Based on this evaluation, a session will be conducted with your group that is oriented towards targeted population.
• On the back end, a follow up session will be conducted to discuss questions after you have applied the method.

Presentation:

• Each organization will be provided one:
• Teddy Bear Technique® Toolkit and one ½ day training sessio, an evidenced based manual and activity book designed for this model.
• Each organization will have one follow up session via telephone, face to face contact, or internet with select representative, or group one month following presentation to review and deliver feedback about applications of the Teddy Bear Technique®.
